SBS works with prospective homeowners to expedite the building process within a pre-constructed 3700 sq. ft. shell that offers choices from among 4 interior plans and finish packages. The enclosed timber framed shell of structural insulated panels contains customized German-made Weru tilt-and-turn windows and exterior doors with impact-resistant glass, and composite slate or metal roofs. All of the interior products are natural, minimize off-gassing and therefore contribute to a more healthful home.
Included in the finished shell are locations for elevators, mechanical and laundry rooms, and hot water heaters, ideally situated to allow for generous interior rooms and most efficient plumbing and electrical systems.
Within the structural panels are the insulation, the vertical and horizontal wire chases, and pre-designed pathways for sprinkler systems that minimize pipe exposure. Hot-dipped galvanized steel screw pilings are installed with mortar and integrated into a foundation system that is designed to address each lot’s unique characteristics. The resulting strong foundation system meets/exceeds compression and tension requirements in coastal regions and contributes to the integrity and longevity of the structure.
